I am Koen (Kuncoro Wastuwibowo). I work with Telkom Indonesia as the Senior Principal Expert of Synergy, whose synergistic programs are related with ecosystem-based business strategy with emphasis on digital transformation. I am an IEEE Senior Member. I used to be the Chair of the IEEE Indonesia Section. Currently my IEEE focus is at the TEMS (Technology & Engineering Management Society).

I perceive life and professional leadership not as linear machines to be controlled, but as Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS) that are constantly evolving. In a world defined by volatility, I move beyond traditional cause-and-effect management to embrace the principles of Complexity Science. My approach is not to enforce rigid order, but to navigate the dynamic equilibrium between stability and chaos. By focusing on rapid feedback loops and the patterns of interaction, I aim to foster emergence, i.e. creating the fertile conditions where innovative solutions and resilience arise organically, rather than being dictated by a master plan.

This philosophy is the bedrock of how I architect business ecosystems, from the agility of SMEs (UMKM) and the critical networks of logistics and supply chain, to the corporate magnitude of the Telkom Group. I do not manage these sectors in isolation; I orchestrate their interconnectivity. By treating business units as adaptive agents within a larger living network, I design systems that can learn and evolve. Whether empowering a local farmer or scaling a digital enterprise, my goal remains the same: to build robust, interconnected ecosystems that thrive on complexity and turn uncertainty into a competitive advantage.
